KTM-9 is a waterborne, hybrid urethane/acrylic system formulated for wood surfaces. It is a high quality, self-crosslinking system with minimal yellowing, excellent chemical, mar and scuff resistance. KTM-9 produces excellent flow, leveling and penetration into porous woods. It can be applied by brush or spray and dries rapidly, allowing multiple coats per day with its relatively short dry time. Due to its relative hardness, it is an excellent finish for many different wood surfaces from instruments, fine furniture to wood floors; with great abrasion resistance. KTM-9 can be supplied with multiple gloss levels from a hi-gloss to matte finish.
KTM-9 exhibits exceptionally clear and glossy film properties that are durable, mar and chemical resistant. KTM-9 self-crosslinks by air oxidation at ambient temperatures and assures chemical and water resistance and produces durability of the coating. It is designed to be applied @ 3.5 to 4 mils wet to allow good flow into the substrate thus filling the grain. It levels easily, dries clear, is easily sanded and re-coated.
