Why Pre-Finish? 

The Pre-finished door market is emerging as a viable option in the building products industry for various reasons:

• Fiberglass Doors are now the doors of choice in the millwork industry.
• Fiberglass styles now mimic different grain patterns of several species of wood.
• Fiberglass resists dents and abrasions associated with steel doors.

With all the pre-finished products that are in the building market today such as kitchens, windows, patiodoors, etc.; the entrydoor has lagged behind—Why?

• Handling issues
• Different substrates
• Color matching issues
• Available paints & stains don’t adhere to fiberglass skins.

Is there a down-side?

The down side of fiberglass turns into your opportunity to grow a new market in the building industry.  Fiberglass will degrade with prolonged exposure to UV radiation. Neither you nor the customer can avoid it, fiberglass must be painted! 

Sooner or later the door has to be painted; why not deliver a door to your customer that pre-finished?
