For adhesion to multiple plastic surfaces

KTM Door-lite Primer is formulated to adhere to polypropylene (PP) door lite frames used in typical door applications today.  KTM adheres to a wide variety of plastic and vinyl materials used in the home and in construction.  A thin film applied to a clean dry surface promotes adhesion of the topcoat to the substrate giving one the confidence in the application.

Features & Benefits:

Product Preparation: KTM is ready to use as is—do not thin.  Mix well before using, as some settling will occur.  Keep container closed tightly when not in use.

Clean-up: Clean up with mineral spirits, xylene, or lacquer thinner immediately after use.

Surface Preparation: Thorough surface preparation and cleaning is the key to a successful application.  Be sure surface is clean and dry, free from any grease, wax, polish, loose paint or dirt.  Clean with acetone prior to application to ensure good bond.  Rough surfaces should be sanded smooth.  Moldy or mildewed surfaces should be scrubbed clean prior to painting with KTM.  Do not use mineral spirits, turpentine, or other solvents that leave an oily residue.  Note: Some plastics are attacked by solvents—always check a small area first if in doubt.
